Happy March!!!
I should post something to keep up with my tradition of posting but once per month. I've been doing a lot of RPing on-line. Not the same as human interaction but it'll do. Ash WED was yesterday which signifies the beginning of Lent. So, according to tradition, you should give up something. I'll try giving up Self Denial for Lent. It's my b-day this month... My poor child
My dearest daughter had to spend all day on TUE in the hospital to get an 8 hour EEG. She was a real trooper about it. My wife stayed with her while I stayed home and watched our son. My son and I did, however, vist at about noon with the finest that McDonalds has to offer. Then... On WED (yesterday) she was dancing in the bathroom and fell into the counter. Only four stitches on her little chin. Poor girl... Tomorrow she has a spelling test. Current Mood: sympathetic |

OUCH!!!
I wrenched my back on TUES. Constant sharp pain in my lower back with lightning shooting down to my knees. This happens once every couple o' months. Sometimes I can pinpoint how it happened but other times I can't. This time, I have no idea. It's slowly getting beter, which is good because my only pain medication is ibuprofin. It doesn't do nothing except dull the edge a bit. It would be better if it didn't make my testicles sore... Current Mood: soreCurrent Music: at work muzak |

MERRY X-MAS
OK, technically, it just now the (very) early morning of Christmas EVE day but, well, this is probably as close as I'm going to get to actually posting on Christmas. Also, for those few who actually read this and may actually care, using X for the Christ in Christmas is perfectly acceptable because in the Greek alphabet (or is the Latin, I forget) you pronounce the "X" as "Chris." SO, I am actually saying Christmas although I am spelling it X-mas. I'm lazy, you all know that, so bite me. It is also Hannakka this evening as well and, although raised X-tian, the Miracle of Lights is also important to me. I'm sorry I missed Winter Solstice and Happy Kwanza as well... Happy December!!! (that should do it...) Current Mood: nostalgic |

Eventually...
... I'll post on this more than once per month. Geting preped for Christmas due to my Christian upbringing. Although I wouldn't mind a good Sadir and it's been a bit since I celebrated Winter Solstace. Ramadan is here too along with Kwanza... I think I'm just going to start saying Happy December! I'm open to ANY reason to celebrate. Some guy's b-day, community, an anciant miracle, whatever... As long as it is joyful. Peace. Current Mood: and enlightendCurrent Music: Christmas Muzak |

sNOw!!!!!
First snow of the year today. For somereason I find that really heartening and depressing. Although technically it isn't winter until DEC 21 but who are we kidding? Like we're in charge or something. It's cold. It's snowing. It's WINTER! Get over it. Current Mood: chipperCurrent Music: Dora the Explorer (kid in the background) |

Hey! I'm a Taoist...?
Not quite sure what that means but well ok... It's a good thing I believe everything I learn on the internet...
You fit in with: Taoism
Your ideals mostly resemble those of the Taoist faith. Spirituality is the most important thing in your life. You strive to live by all of your ideals, and live a very intellectually focused life.
60% spiritual. 20% reason-oriented.

Hey! Why didn't someone tell me it was October?
WEll, well... It appears that I haven't checked in in a while. I went to see Serenity last week. It was a most excellent movie and if I had more money and access to childcare I'd see it repeatedly. You can't stop the signal. I'm contemplating the Higher Mysteries of the Universe at the moment and I feel kind of fuzzy 'cause I'm tired. So, my internal monologue is kinda wacky at the moment (for example: as soon as I wrote 'wacky' I thought of David Letterman). Later Dayz. Current Mood: drainedCurrent Music: Muzak (at work) |

I got to play D&D three times last week. Granted, it was with my brother, they were all 1:1s, and I had to DM them but it was still fun. (sigh) I miss face-to-face playing... Current Mood: contemplative |
